The patch today fixed the issue that was causing the pricing to look weird. However, we still to push a back-end update to the store to put all of the unlocks live again. I checked with the team and the unlocks that were removed from the market due to this bug should be back by the end of the week.

Details:
DATE: August 22
TIME: 6:00AM - 8:00AM PDT (1300 - 1500 GMT)
VERSION: 5.9.2a

Patch Notes will be available on the release of the update, here. Here are the current notes:
  • Closed a gap which allowed players to get underneath the Overlook platform in the Rishi Stronghold.
  • The Cartel Market image for the Visas Marr armor set is no longer showing the Marka Ragnos belt.
  • Despite the best efforts of the yellow team, the Novare Coast scoreboard now properly tracks the score for both teams.
  • Wins and losses are now properly tracked after all Ranked Matches (this was fixed on August 7th).
  • Dretcher’s Droids in Chapter XIII: Profit and Plunder will no longer reset.
  • Corrected an issue where the Veteran Mode Gods From the Machine bosses were harder than intended.
  • Players will no longer experience intermittent slowdown while in a Stronghold. (this fix also adds collision and LoS detection back for decorations)
  • Using various quick travel abilities will no longer randomly kill players.
  • Various character unlocks have been added back into the Cartel Market and will now display their appropriate price instead of "True."

Quick update. I jumped the gun a little on maintenance messaging. In talking with the team, we have 5.9.2a in a really good place and we are pretty confident it is ready to go. However, given the issues we have had over the past week or so getting it ready the team wants to take an additional day of testing to hammer on it. Assuming those tests continue to point to a solid 5.9.2a, we will have maintenance on Wednesday morning (August 22nd). I will provide updates in this thread tomorrow.

#5 Upcoming Maintenance: Week of 8/13

Some bad news to report, the maintenance will not be happening tomorrow. We thought we were very close to having patch ready to go but when we were in the final testing stage it was determined there was an issue that would cause a large number of players to be kicked to character select regularly. Obviously, that put the brakes on 5.9.2a for tomorrow.

The team has already begun working on getting this addressed and to get a new patch ready. The new estimated timing for maintenance will be Tuesday, 8/21.

Hey folks! I wanted to quickly respond to this point made by Verain. I do not consider this to be a change in design philosophy. The "experience" factor of the matchmaker is not about the character. It's about the player themselves. To have any reasonable chance of gauging how experienced someone is at the game mode we need to evaluate the entirety of their play experience, at least to the best of our ability. Looking at character experience often give little to no insight into how much Starfighter the player has actually participated in.
