Thank yall for your time playing and sharing feedback from this PTS cycle. We greatly appreciate your time and discussions as it has helped us craft better content for you! PTS was shut down last night, but feel free to continue to post feedback on the PTS forums as you wish, we will still be checking them.

Specifically for the Warzone I wanted to give an update on a few items:
The everyone in this area dies bug was some debugging scripting that didnt get totally removed in time for the PTS build. It has since been fixed internally.
We had an internal test yesterday with a new optimization pass and Odessen Proving Grounds played much better than before. So we expect yall to find a lot less hitching when you play the Warzone on Live.
There are still a number of bugs that we intend to fix before launch and we appreciate the bug lists that yall have created. If you feel like something is especially important (even if it is a minor detail) please post away so we dont miss it.

That sentence can be interpreted in multiple ways (no effect on individual bonus, no effect on total bonus, no effect on "you have to have each stronghold at 100% for max bonus").
Yup, happy to clarify.

The cap for the Conquest bonus from Strongholds is still 100%. This bonus is now calculated based on your top 4 most completed Strongholds. Meaning even if you have 5 Strongholds at 100%, your bonus will still only be 100%, not 125%. By there being no effect, I mean that if you have 100% right now, you will still have 100% when the 5th Stronghold is activated.

Hope that makes sense!

Slicing nodes were dropping more credits than intended so that changed allowed us to bring those credit gains back to a more desired range. This is also without impacting Slicing Crew Skill Missions, which can still drop Prototype Lockboxes.

Lost legendary player status

We have seen quite a few reports of players who have lost their Legendary Status following Game Update 4.2 on Tuesday. First, a reminder of what Legendary Status is. This system was put in with Knights of the Fallen Empire as a reward for players who had completed all 8 Class Stories all the way through Act 3. We wanted to make sure that their efforts were rewarded, beyond just Achievements alone.

Along with the KotFE launch, we also introduced Start at 60 tokens. Unfortunately, there was a bug where sometimes a character made from a token would grant a completion for Legendary Status. This was not intended as that character never played through and completed Act 3. With Game Update 4.2, we corrected that bug and along with it, removed any unintended progress from Legendary Status. At this time there are a few specific issues that have been raised:

I have a <insert class> that has completed their Class Story but do not have Legendary Status Credit
  • First, please ensure that you have completed that Class story all the way through completion of Act 3, post-Corellia.
  • If you have, log into that Character. We have seen reports that simply logging into that Character will re-grant Legendary Status Credit.
  • Again, Start at 60 Characters will not grant you this credit.

I completed my Class Story with <insert class> but have since deleted that Character
  • Please contact CS.

4.3 PTS #3 Warzone and Arena Change List

Designer Note: Thanks to everyone who has tried out the new warzone on PTS, made videos, guides, etc. We are blown away with the support yall have shown and want to thank you for your enthusiasm. We are pleased with the gameplay after the last Update so we spent more time on polish and optimization this last PTS patch. Of course, we will continue to eliminate bugs and listen to feedback, so please keep the bug reports and constructive criticism coming! While we dont have any major optimization results for this patch we have identified a culprit and are working on fixes to eliminate its impact on the Warzones performance.
  • The Speed Up Battle Mod now decreases the tick rate of Control Points to .5 seconds, up from .3 seconds.
    Designer Note: Getting both the multiply and speed up battle mod on a single point is a little too awesome. We want to tune it down some but still make it impactful and desirable to coordinate. Slowing down the Speed Up Battle Mod will allow opposing players more time to react and provide some counter play.
  • Speed Boosts have been placed under the northern Battle Mod spawn locations, and the Speed Boost directly south of the Defense Cannon has been removed.
    Designer Note: Players were having to run too far out of the way to get a speed boost and this isnt ideal. The speed boost should be roughly on the path you are headed instead of out of your way.
  • A greyed-out icon of the Control Point will be visible on the ground when the Control Point is deactivated.
    Designer Note: More in-game communication that matches the scorecard user interface is always a good thing.
  • Objective Points (Attacker and Defender) are now given out for capturing a Control Point and defending/attacking a Control Point.
    Designer Note: We are giving out 25 points to anyone in the general area (larger that the control point area but smaller than the room) of control points if they are controlled, depending on if the character owns the control point or not. In addition, characters are going to receive 1000 Attacker Objective points by capturing a control point. This is in addition to using a Battle Mod on a control point, which we added last PTS patch. If there are more opportunities for distributing objective points you feel would help out the gamemode, please share your feedback!
  • A visual effect now plays after a Battle Mod has been used.
    Designer Note: More in-game communication that matches the scorecard user interface is always a good thing. See a theme here?
  • The map has been updated to more clearly show the play area.
  • The loading screen has been updated.
    Designer Note: It is a complex warzone to cover in 3 images but we are hoping we can nail the big pieces. Please let us know what you think the 3 bullet points of the warzone should be.
  • Various Lana voice-over improvements have been made, including adding a filter.
  • Players are no longer able to use Phase Walk and Force Leap/Charge abilities in the Northern spawn rooms.
  • All Power Ups (Heal, Expertise and Speed Boost) are now correctly applied to the character that runs over them.
  • Battle Mod map note icons are now displayed when active on both the main map and mini-map.
  • Players are no longer able to wiggle their way out of the spawn area.

Scheduled Playtest - March 11th and 12th, 2016

Tonight (Friday) and tomorrow (Saturday) evening we will be holding another scheduled playtest for 4.3 PTS. Here are the details:
  • When: Friday, March 11th and Saturday, March 12th
  • When: 4PM - 7PM Pacific
  • What: Queue up for unranked Warzones!
  • Why: This will place you in either the Rishi Cove Arena or the Odessen Training Ground Warzone.

BioWare staff will be on intermittently and incognito to play alongside everyone!

Please head to the Arena and Warzone feedback threads respectively and let us know what you think!

I apologize for the delay in responding to this thread as I wanted to ensure we had fully investigated the emails that we had sent. Here is what we have done up to this point. On 2/15 we sent an email which contained a code for both Cartel Coins, and a Chapter 1 trial. After sending this email we received reports of some folks had not received their email. To correct this, we did two things on 2/25. First, we resent the original email to all users who had received the email, but had never opened it. Two, we increased the grace period for the original cut-off by 10 days to ensure that we created a large buffer for those who qualified.

After investigating, we have confirmed that the email was sent to all users who qualified in and around that timeline (including the 10-day buffer). I realize, based on the volume of posts in this thread, that some of you still have not received that email. If this is the case then either the email was missed/deleted (I suspect all of you checked for this already) or our email was rejected by your email provider. I have seen some folks in this thread mention that they have been receiving the monthly Cartel Coin grant emails. Please know that those emails are sent from a different source than our newsletters. If you marked the newsletter as spam, etc. with your provider it is one of the possible reasons that you did not receive the email.

The sending of these promotional emails did conclude on 2/25. We do apologize for any confusion that was caused by this. In the future we will be more clear in communicating where, and when, this email will be sent.
